Nordic Fairies Review

Hey guys!

I just finished Nordic Fairies by Saga Berg. Here is my review:

I loved it. The cliffhanger at the end was great. I can't wait to read the next book.
Svala, is a strong, loving girl. I don't know if I could be as strong as her, especially since I don't have the years of experience as she does. Reading about her attachment to Viggo and Tyrm, I feel really bad for her when all the things start to fall apart.
Viggo seems to be a mysterious, caring character. With what we've read about him, you can understand why all the girls are going crazy over him.
Tyrm, is such a strong, smart man. Of course, with all this experience he has he'll be smart. Being able to not follow his love into becoming Döckálfar proves just how strong he is. I, just like Svala, am not sure if I could do what he did.
I give this a 4/5 rating.
Did this novella reach my high expectations? Yes, it did. It was spectacular.
Would I recommend it and who? Yes, I would. I'd recommend it to my friends and people who like reading romance paranormal stories.

top 10 things to save

Hey guys!
I already did the top 10 books that I'd save... Now I'm doing the top 10 things - so anything at all - that I'd save. Whether it is a fire, earthquake, whatever. Again, same thing applies here as it did in the top 10 books that I'd save, it doesn't matter if you're/I'm borrowing the thing. Just pretend that it's yours. Its not in any other particular order. Also, don't think about anything for survival. This is just a pleasure one. No survival/death situations. Oh, and please tell me whats your list. Thanks!

Between The Land And The Sea

Hey guys!

So, guess what?! I've finished Between The Land and The Sea last night!!! :D As I said I would get the review done by today. So, here it is! =)

The actions, reactions, and feelings of the characters seem realistic.
Ethan is an complicated, understanding and interesting character. He is the perfect match for Marina.
Marina develops well throughout the story. She is very mysterious. As the story goes on you find out more and more about her and start to understand her better. Marina isn't very good with opening up and sharing things with others.
I can see why Marina and Ethan are together. Their lives are so very similar. They are both extremely caring and protective with each other. They don't doubt each other and would believe whatever the other said. That I'd say is true trust and is hard to find. Their love is very strong and intimate. I must say that I love reading about them being together. I love how Megan and Cruz are always making fun of them. You can tell straight away that they have a very bumpy road ahead of them.
Cruz is very supportive and sweet. I understand his reaction from when he found out about his dad. He seems to see the best in everyone. He is able to stay grounded when people are rude to him.
Megan is understanding and seems pretty pushy. I'd say she's a bit girly. She'd be a pretty good match for Cruz.
I am actually kinda upset that Cruz and Megan didn't end up together. They'd be a cute couple. Although Cruz seems like he'd be more interested in guys, I think he and Megan would be great together.
Martin is a great father. I'm dissapointed and feel Marina's pain when he had moved her over to Aptos so he could go to Afganistan. If it were somewhere else safer, I would be furious. However it is a very dangerous place he is in, and I understand his need to protect her. Even though I am dissapointed in him moving Marina to Aptos and going somewhere else, I would be extremely mad at him if he had taking her along. For one he'd be failing his job as a father in some ways. Also we wouldn't get to read that magnificent adventure in Aptos. I'd like to congratulate him on winning the award - if he were real!!! Hahaha.
Did this book meet my high expectations? Almost, because I could guess quite some of the events that happened in the story.
Would I recommend it and who? Yes. I'd recommend it to all fantasy and romance lovers.

New Pages

Hey guys!

I just wanted to say that I put some new pages up. The pages, which you can view to the left, are Short Bio; Book Reviews; Reading List; My Writing Process; Contact, Info, and Credits; and last but not least Home. I'm going to explain to you what each are about.

In Short Bio, its just a page thats about me. There's not much to explain about this.

In Book Review, you can see all of my book reviews that I've posted. Instead of searching through them all in here. Currently there's only one, Vampire Academy, since its the only one I've finished already. I'm working on more though.

In Reading List, you will be able to see a list of the books I'm currently reading. Next to some of the names you'll see parenthasese then a percentage. Those are the percentage that I've read of the book. Its only on some of the books, because I haven't worked out the percentage of all the books I am currently reading. I am hoping to get all the percentages up soon. This page will be updated whenever I read some more of a book or finish a book. You'll be able to see which book will be next to be reviewed.
Under the list there is this little part, I suppose its little...maybe not... Anyways, its this part where I tell you how you can suggest a book to me. You don't have to follow that way, but I'd really perfer you did.

In My Writing Process, you probably know what that's about already, just as you most likely would've for Short Bio. As most of you've guessed, its about my writing process!!! Shocking isn't it? Anyways you can post questions and ask for tips or anything in the comments on that page.

Moving on... the Contact, Info, and Credits page... Well, here I've given all the credit that someone owns. It shows ways to contact me. And info about stuff really... Yeah "stuff". See for yourself, since I have no idea what to say about the "stuff".

Finally, the Home, like most other websites and blogs, it is the main page. Also, page you're viewing this on, unless you opened this so it is its own page. You can view all my new posts there.

Well... Thats it!!! So, see ya!

First Review for books!!! :)

Hey all!

So, I thought I'd write a review for Vampire Academy. If you have any requests for books I should read and review, then just post it in the comments or send me an email at info@samanthaarnold.info

Here's the review:
The teenagers' actions, feelings and thoughts were realistic.
Dimitri is an honorable, understanding and interesting character. He can teach a lot to Rose.
Rose is mature in her own way, that few character seem to fail to see. Yes, she is a party animal and flirt, but that is only her way of trying to have fun and make all she can out of life.
I understand why Rose and Dimitri have attraction to each other. Their lives are very much in sync. They are both hard to control, but know the line between right and wrong and would prefer to not cross it. Their love is very strong and intimate. I must say that I am kinda addicted to their romance. However, I fail to see how nobody except for Victor and Natalie has noticed it.
Lissa seems to me like an ordinary teenager girl turned into a Moroi. She isn't into all that goth or emo stuff. She is in fact a little girly, but to girly as to where she goes into the whole obsession with pink. She is in fact very strong for a girl who normally doesn't have all the air sucked out of her then thrust back in or kidnapped and tortured by a loved one. I, for one, wouldn't be able to handle that. I think, She in fact would be a great role model to younger girls.
Victor is a surprising character to me. I had not expected him to betray Lissa and torture her no matter how sick he was. I most definitely did not expect him to convince his daughter to become a Strigoi. Even after kidnapping Lissa, I still didn't expect him to go that far to killing his own daughter. Yes, yes, he didn't actually kill her. It was in Dimitri's hands, but he had convinced her to turn into a Strigoi, there for it was his fault.
Did this book meet my high expectations? Yes, it most definately did! In fact in some ways it overcame my expectations.
Would I recommend it and who? Yes, I most definitely would. I'd recommend it to all fantasy and vampire lovers.
